HOW DO FUNGI OBTAIN FOOD?

  • Fungi cannot make their own food
  • They have enzymes that digest nutrients through decomposition

WHAT IS THEIR STRUCTURE LIKE?

  • The body mycelium is grown underground
  • It is made up of string like cells they are tangled together
  • They also have filaments called hyphae
  • The cell walls are made out of chitin

REPRODUCTION

  • Fungi can reproduce sexually and asexually
  • In sexual reproduction the male and female eggs fuse
  • To produce spores inside the body
  • And in asexual they simple make little copies of themselves

  • Mushrooms/Toadstools
  • Athlete's foot
  • Yeast
