How to get the Target Heart Rate (THR)

Target Heart Rate

  • First get the maximum heart rate (MHR)
  • Formula: 220 - Age

Second Step

  • calculate the heart rate reserve (HRR)
  • MHR result - normal pulse rate

Third Step

  • calculate THR at 60% to 80%
  • HRR x .6 / HRR x .8

Final THR

  • Get the average of THR from 60% to 80%
  • THR 60% + 80% divided by 2
