  • Allows for movement by contracting
  • With Respiratory, diaphragm controls breathing
  • The mothers womb has strong muscle in its walls
  • contractions of muscles pull on cervix & help to open it & ⤵️
  • Putting pressure on baby, helping the baby move downward.

RESPIRATORY SYSTEM

  • Takes in oxygen & removes carbon dioxide & water
  • With nervous; it controls breathing
  • With muscular; the diaphragm controls breathing
  • oxygen in maternal blood vessels going to fetus through umbilical vein

ENDOCRINE SYSTEM

  • Regulates body activities using hormones
  • With nervous; maintain homeostasis(hormones release)
  • Hormones work to soften the ligaments between bones in your pelvis
  • Other hormones begin to soften your cervix
