  • Peasants
  • Farmers
  • Laborers
  • Slaves

SPECIALIZED JOBS

  • Scribes
  • Engineers
  • Architects
  • Priests (used astronomy)

GENDER ROLLS

  • Wealthy/ Middle class women had more opportunities than other years and decades
  • Men were Pharaohs
  • Both men and women had close to the same rights/chances in life

LIFESTYLE

  • Family life was very important to the Ancient Egyptians
  • Children were the heart of the family, if cannot have kids, they adopt
  • Rich bathed in soaking tubs while the poor bathed in the Nile
  • Happy, clever people. Doing many good deeds to keep their heart light
  • Enjoyed poetry, art, and music
  • To move up in social class you had to be able to read and write
  • Peasant farmers made up most of the population
