WRITE IT YOURSELF

Of course, the first approach is to write the content yourself. But, if you don't enjoy writing, aren't good at it, or just don't have enough time in your day to write, what other choices do you have?

FREELANCER OR GHOSTWRITER

YOU CAN TRY HIRING A
Use a Freelancer or Ghostwriter

Hiring a freelancer or ghostwriter is a great option for getting all of your content created. The major thing to note is this can get expensive...fast. Be prepared to pay based on how many words you want per article.

A few sites where you can find quality freelance copywriters are:

Elance.com

CONTENT CREATION SITES

Like Fiverr or iWriter
Using Content Creation Sites

If cost is an issue for you, try exploring broad content creation sites like Fiverr or Iwriter. These sites are generally more affordable but the downside can be the quality of the work.

It's almost like going to certain low-cost department stores where you have to look really hard to find that one item of clothing you can pull off to make it look good. You may find that you need to go through several contractors on these sites before finding one that you are happy with. In some instances, you may discover their work is not original or that they sell the same article to more than one person without telling you.

Make sure you ask and read the rating (along with comments) to be sure you're getting what you pay for.

Finally, don't go to these sites expecting a $100 article for $5 - I've seen this way too many times. It will only frustrate you and the contractor!

CHECK INTO QUALITY PLR

(Private Label Rights)
PLR Stores

This is content that is affordable and comes with a specific usage license. The license will vary from store to store, so please read their terms carefully. With PLR it is important to remember that multiple people will be purchasing the exact same content. For this reason you need to rewrite portions of the content to make it unique to you. Quite often a good way to use PLR content is for the basis of a new project and to help spark ideas.

I would suggest finding a quality PLR site that targets your niche. Don't waste time and money buying articles and PLR that isn't relevant to your expertise. Otherwise, you'll end up with a whole lot of content that will take forever to organize and you won't even use half of it.

CURATE YOUR CONTENT

SHARE YOUR VALUABLE PERSPECTIVE
Content Curation

This method involves finding a newsworthy article and then quoting it on your site. You add your own thoughts and opinion to the article, good and bad, and before you know it, you have a full length article or blog post to share with your readers.

I wrote a blog about getting started with content curation here...

WRITE IT YOURSELF

Writing Your Own

Before you make the assumption you can't write your own articles and posts, it's important to give it a try. I know, I know -- not enough time, it's too hard, it's not what you enjoy.

To be honest, it's something I have to work on every day and I still don't always get it right.

But what I'm learning that content creation is a discipline. Take a look at blogs and study things like the best words to use and phrases that will reach your target client. With a little practice and a working schedule, anyone can write their own articles.

Using PLR, as I mentioned above, would be a good way for you to get the hang of writing your own material.

Here are just a few books I've had in my arsenal to help with my own writing skills. Maybe a few of these will help you (all easy to order on Amazon):

Words that Sell: More than 6000 Entries to Help You Promote Your Products, Services, and Ideas

The Copywriter's Handbook, Third Edition: A Step-By-Step Guide To Writing Copy That Sells

Perfect Phrases for Sales and Marketing Copy (Perfect Phrases Series)

Well, now you have a few more ideas on where to find good content you can use on your websites, your social messaging and more. Time to put them to good use.
