HISTORY OF COBALT

  • Discovered by George Brandt
  • Discovered in 1735 in Sweden

USES OF COBALT

  • It is used in many things: magnet/stainless steels
  • Jet turbines
  • Paint pigents

ZIRCONIUM

  • Has a grayish-white, lustrous color
  • Can ignite spontaneously in air
  • Solid at room temperature
  • Symbol is Zr
  • Atomic number is 40

HISTORY OF ZIRCONIUM

  • Discovered by Martin Heinrich Klaproth
  • Discovered in 1789 in Berlin, Germany
  • Has also been discovered in S-type stars, and meteorites

USES OF ZIRCONIUM

  • It is used in many things:
  • The nuclear industry
  • An alloy agent in steel
  • Making surgical implants

SILVER

  • Has a brilliant white metallic luster
  • Alittle harder than gold
  • Very ductile and malleable
  • Solid at room tempeature
  • Symbol is Ag, Atomic number is 47
