PHENOMENAL CLOUDS!

CUMULUS CLOUDS

  • Are puffy clouds that sometimes look like floating cotton
  • The base of the cloud is often flat & 1000m above ground
  • The top of the cloud has rounded towers.

STRATUS CLOUDS

  • Are uniform grayish clouds that often cover the entire sky
  • They resemble fog that DOESN'T reach the ground.
  • Usually no precipitation falls from stratus clouds
  • Though, sometimes they can drizzle.

CIRRUS CLOUDS

  • Are thin, wispy clouds blown by high winds into high streamers
  • There're considered "high clouds" forming about 6000m
  • They also move east to west!

FOG!

  • For fog to form is moisture in the air
  • The closer to 100% humidity, the better
  • And the air near the ground must be cold to 5° f
  • The water vapor in the air must be condense to water.
