PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE LIFE OF DALLY WINSTON

Dallas Winston was your typical hoodlum. He lived on the streets. Was always getting in trouble with the police. He was your ordinary greaser. He was a hooligan. But inside this brick wall of a guy, was a touchy feely guy. He always hid his feelings. But when he realized that one of his buddies was on his last leg to stand on he became very in touch with his feelings. But ends up dying in the dark by gunshots. He was born a greaser and he died as a greaser.

Dally was based in the 1960s. The 60s was a fun but dangerous era. It was all about cars, music, and being "tuff".

Cars was a big deal during this time. Cars would show which side you was on, or how much money you had. This was one of the main reason why the greasers and the socs didn't like each other. Cars showed people's true colors. It showed how they acted towards other people.

Music during this time was way different then music today. The music during this time was The Beatles, Hank Sr., and Bob Dylan, which were all very popular at the time. Everyone was listening to them. The Socs and The Greasers. The music wasn't a main reason about anything. But it shows what the time or era was about or what it was like.

Then there was being "tuff". Like Dally and the greasers. They was both of them. Tough and tuff. There is a difference between the two. Being tough was like being like Paul Newman. Everybody thought Paul Newman was tough. Then there was tuff. This tuff meant that you and your gang was a cool gang. Like the greasers.

Then there was being tough and tuff. There is definitely a fine line between the two words. Tough means "(of a substance or object) strong enough to withstand adverse conditions or rough or careless handling." Then Tuff means "Is a gangs word for cool." But as for the greasers or Socs. They all wanted to be both.
