HOW THE PLAGUE REACHED EUROPE

  • The plague started in the east then traveled to the west.
  • The plague was spread by the help of travelers and traders carrying rats
  • Rats carried the disease on them
  • Rats traveled with traders to other regions bringing the disease to other regions.

EFFECTS ON POPULATION

  • The people who lived around the plague were wurrounded by death
  • Most of the citizens expected death
  • Depression was all over because of the impact of the plague
  • The population dropped tremendously

EFFECTS ON ECONOMY

  • Their were less customers and less workers
  • Prices dropped and workers were payed more
  • Workers were payed more because of plague risks and decrease of supplies
  • Trade drops and slows down

EFFECTS ON EUROPEAN SOCIETY

  • The laws fell apart
  • The sick people werent allowed in some cities
  • Workers got more out of their work
  • Some believed it was the end of the world
  • They stopped burying dead bodies because their was a lot of dead bodies

PLAGUE AND RELIGION

  • A growth in attendees
  • People would go to church for comfort
  • Many ministers and officials die
  • The power of the church becomes strong at the start
  • Religion starts to fall due to the immense deaths that occur throughout the church
