PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Introduction
introduction -is a 2012 epic fantasy adventure film directed by Peter Jackson. It is the first installment of a three-part film adaptation based on the 1937 novel The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. It is followed by The Desolation of Smaug (2013) and There and Back Again (2014), and together they will act as a prequel to Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
Ordinary world- is when Bilbo the little hobbit is in his house the shyer.
Call to adventure- when the wizard goes to Bilbo's house and says to him that he has an adventure for him.
refusal of the call- Bilbo says that he can't because he doesn't think that he will be able to.
Meeting with mentor- during the trip they talk about the mission and also when they kill the trolls and Gandalf gives bilbo the sword.
crossing the threshold- when bilbo Gandalf and the other dwarves are at war with the orcs and the dragon dies.
1 stage- When Bilbo is in his house and everything is quiet.
2 stage- Bilbo is in his town but he knows that Gandalf has a mission for him following the dwarves and helping them.
3 stage- They start the journey through the middle world and they have some problems with the trolls but they beat them with bilbo's help and Gandalf. After this they kept going and they had to run from the orcs and they needed help from the elf. When they escaped from the goblins they knew that the white orc is alive and they have a fight with him, but they must escape with the help from the eagles.
4 stage- They know the other elf and them make them prisoners. when they escaped with bilbo's help they are attacked by the orcs but thankfully some of the elves help them. they are found by a human who helps them to leave and go to the city closer to the lonely mountain.
5 stage- They find the door which leads them into the castle. When Bilbo is inside the castle his mission is to find the heart of the mountain. but unfortunately he wakes up the dragon leading to a series of unfortunate events.
6 stage- Third movie
Hero- The hero in this story is Bilbo, he is a normal hobbit without experience outside his house but his ability is that he is a hobbit and the enemies don't know anything about the hobbits, so they have an advantage. During the story bilbo learns how to help his friends and how to defend himself.
Mentor- the mentor is Gandalf a wizard that helps all the dwarfs to arrive to their destination and teach Bilbo a lot things about defending himself and to think like a group.
Nemesis- the nemesis in this story is the dragon Smaug who a long time ago stole the mountain from the dwarves and so all the money that was inside.
Ambassador- Elrond he is an elf that thinks that all the middle earth is in peace. He ignores that problems that are happening. Elrond is neutral between the feuding sides. He doesn't help the dwarfs.
Hero subplot- The other hero is a human who a long time ago tried to kill the dragon with a big bow but he missed the shut.
War- The war in this story is always about to get the mountain and the trophy, there are two teams, the orcs who are like the dragon followers and the dwarves team, the wizard Gandalf plus the hobbit Bilbo and the human. (I don't know how the story is going to finish because I didn't watch the movie).
