• Villandry is one of the greatest chateau's built on the banks of the Loire.
• It has a distinctive feature of being the residents of neither a king nor a courtesan.
• Keen on architecture, Jean le Breton was also interested in the art of gardening feudal fortresses.

JEAN LE BRETON

• Minister of France of finance of Franco's 1 at Villandry .
• He drew on his exceptional architectural expense.
• When he arrived in Villandry he had the old feudal fortress razed to the ground.

HAINGUERLOT FAMILY

• The chateau and gardens of Villandry were owned by the Hainguerlot family.
• A family of businessmen who made their money during the directorie period.
• Stéphanie Oudinot, wife of Tom Hainguerlot donated a large organ to Villandry church.

• I'd love to live in Villandry because it is a beautiful architectural place.
• The gardens are very pretty.
• There are a range of activites to do in he gardens and many different events.
• Like playing tennis, touring and different sports.
• At night they have a special poetry event I'd love to attend. Candles, sparkling fireworks and fun.
