AGAINST GENETICALLY MODIFIED FOOD

Genetically modified foods are foods produced from organisms that have had specific changes introduced into their DNA. Some examples of this Papaya that has been generically modified to resist the ringspot virus or corn that has been modified to be resistant to various herbicides and to produce a protein that kills certain insects.

REASONS AGAINST

  • May cause cancer, allergies, and other health problems
  • Too new for us to know what's going to happen
  • They take money away from farmers
