The Andes Mountains are located along the western coast of South America. The Andes mountains go through Argentina, Bolivia, chilie, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.
At the foothills of the Andes mountains it's about 80 degrees. The top is about 40 degrees it's also cold and wet and not very inhabitable. At the foothills is 3,000 feet above sea level and rain forests are there. Above this level are grasslands. 10,000 above this level there are deciduous forests and hardy grasses. Then above this level there are airplane pastures.
