Bacterial Vaginosis

  • women with BV don't know they have it because they have no symptoms.
  • Having BV can increase a woman's chance of getting an STD.

CHLAMYDIA

  • Bacterial
  • Chlamydia is the most commonly reported STD in the United States.
  • Sexually active females 25 years old and younger need testing every year.
  • by having anal, vaginal, or oral sex with someone who has chlamydia.

GONORRHEA

  • Bacterial
  • Gonorrhea can be cured with the right medication.
  • Untreated gonorrhea can cause serious health problems in both women and men.
  • by having anal, vaginal, or oral sex with someone who has gonorrhea

GENITAL HERPES

  • Viral
  • Most people with genital herpes infection do not know they have it.
  • You can get genital herpes from an infected partner, even if your partner has no herpes symptoms.
  • by having oral, vaginal, or anal sex with someone who has the disease.

HIV/AIDS & STDs

  • If you have an STD, make sure you get tested for HIV.
