18TH AMENDMENT
In the 1920’s, the amendment went into affect and prohibited the invent and sale of alcohol in America.
Many Americans supported the law in the beginning.
But there weren't enough police to stop the drinking habits of so many Americans.
Its ratification was certified on January 16, 1919, .
