RUSSIAN CIVIL WAR 1917-1922

INTRODUCTION

• The groups that are in my event are the bolsheviks,russia,russian empire,and USA .
• My event happened on october 1917-october 1922
• The war took place in 11 countries: Ukraine, Russia, kazakhstan ECT.

SUMMARY OF THE EVENTS

• For three years straight the Russian civil war was to tear apart russia.
• Russians who had been prepared to accept the provisional goverment. The US intervened in the war between 1918-1920.
• There objectives were to secure war materials sold to the Russian goverment.
• Usa intervened in the war between 1918-1920

3 CAUSES

• Bolsheviks had many enemies such as germany.
• Chezk prisoners took control of the Siberian railway.
• , america , and france angry that russia dropped out of WW1
• (I think the 3rd cause is the best because it tells why some countrys were mad at russia)

3 EFFECTS

• The treaty of brest litovsk ,many people were bewildered at the terms of the treaty.
• The red guard being used to impose bolshevik rule.
• National groups attempted to take control of own land.

THESIS STATEMENT

• A challenge to the bolsheviks who seized power les to the Russian civil war which that led to establishing the soviet union.

OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS

• Russia's goverment was confronted by a circle of economic problems like labor shortages, food shortages ect..
• Trotsky was delaying because he and the other bolsheviks were convinced that a revolution would happen in germany.

Conclusion

This topic is important because of all the history and how it happened and all the soldiers that died in those 11 countries that risked there lives for there family's .
