  • Gabe,Johnny,and Raymond had to survive the wilderness like Brian.
  • They were all in a bush plane.
  • The bush planes both had a survival kit in them.
  • They all had to make some of there supplies.
  • The pilots of the planes both died.
It relates to Hatchet because, They all had to survive the wilderness. They were all in bush planes. The bush planes had a survival kit in them that fulfilled most of their needs.They all had to make some of their supplies. The pilots of the planes both died.

SETTING:

THE TIME PERIOD OF THIS STORY IS IN THE 1980'S TO THE 1990'S IN NOVEMBER. IT IS IN CANADA AND IN NOVEMBER THE WEATHER IS VERY COLD. IF IT WAS NOT IN CANADA IT PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN AS COLD AS IT WAS.
The time period of this story is in the 1980's to the 1990's in November.(based on TV show's and other things mentioned.) This story took place in Canada. If it was not in Canada there may have not been such cold or glacial weather. They probably wouldn't have to face frostbite and other illnesses.

CHARACTERS

  • Main Characters- Gage Rogers, Raymond Providence, Johnny Raven.
  • Minor Characters-Clint, Gage's Dad, Raymond's Family.
  • Antagonist-Nature, Weather, Wild Animals.
  • Protagonist- Gage Rogers, Raymond Providence, Johnny Raven.
The main characters were Gage,Raymond, and Johnny. They were the main characters because the storyline focused on them. The minor characters were Clint, Gage's Dad, and Raymond's Family. They were the minor characters because they all played a part to guide the story. The protagonist were Gage, Raymond, and Johnny. The antagonist was the environment.(weather,nature,and wildlife.

CONFLICT

Some conflicts in the story were,
Dealing with the deaths of friends and family.
This is an inner conflict.

Having to deal with dangerous wildlife.

PLOT

EXPOSITION, RISING ACTION, CLIMAX, FALLING ACTION, AND RESOLUTION
Exposition-Fifteen-year-old Gabe Rodgers was riding with Clint. A bush pilot from Canada. His parents were divorced and Gabe lived with his mom. He wanted to reunite with his dad so, he was going to start school In Canada. He and his roommate Raymond became good friends.Rising action- At the end of October Gabe got a call from Clint saying to meet him at the floatplane dock if he wanted to do some sightseeing while taking Raymond and Johnny home. The pilot landed the plane to get a closer look at the falls then the engine quit. When he went in the plane the rope broke that was holding the plane close,and he drifted off down the falls. Leaving, the 2 boys and Johnny, village elder, to survive by each other. Johnny was experienced with survival techniques and he shared his knowledge with the boys. Soon, Johnny passed away and the boys had to fend for themselves. They had a run in with a bear. Which stole some of their food,and were injured in the process.
Climax- After a long journey the boys both injured reached Raymond's village. Much wiser on survival. Thanks to their experiences and training they received.
Falling action- The boys received medical attention and were both reunited with their families.
Exposition- They had a potlatch for Johnny and had many people there including Raymond and Gabe. A lot of people spoke about Johnny and all of his hunting experiences. A letter that Raymond and Gabe found in Johnny's pocket was read.
After all Raymond decided to go back to school with Gabe.

Climax- After a long journey the boys both injured reached Raymond's village. Much wiser on survival. Thanks to their experiences and training they received.
Falling action- The boys received medical attention and were both reunited with their families.
