Nelson Mandela was born in the village of mvezo. He was born with the name of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. July 18,1918 was the exact date he was born. He was born 1 of 10 children.

Nelson Mandela was always smart. He went to Fort Hare University to get his bachelors degree but didn't get to finish because he was arrested. He eventually went into house arrest. He couldn't finish college 'till he got out of jail

What did Mandela do?
Nelson Mandela was the leader of the apartheid in South Africa. He did mission work against racial crimes. He spread peace all through the south of Africa.many black people in South Africa were getting murderd at the time

What caused the apartheid in South Africa ?
There were mostly white people in South Africa. When black people went down there the white people basically used them as slaves. The blacks were treated very poorly and Nelson Mandela led the movement to stop that.

How did he impact the world and the United States ?
The apartheid brought
Racism and peace to the U.S. And the whole world. It showed people that racism was wrong and that everyone was equal. He also ended a lot of fighting in South Africa

Nelsons friend disguised himself so Nelson could give a lifesaving speech. He had a chance to get out of jail but he had to stop peace work,so he declined the offer .

Nelson Mandela had a wife to hide that he was actually was homosexual,although he had six children. All of his children are still alive.

Nelson Mandela died on December 5,2013. His death site is in South Africa,Nelson died from a respiratory infection.
