PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Newton's second law states that Acceleration is produced when a force acts on a mass. The greater the mass, the greater amount of acceleration.
Ex. When you push your foot on the pedal in your car, it will accelerate and move forward. The harder you push your foot on the pedal, the faster it will go.
Newton's second law also states that Force = mass X acceleration.
It also shows that there is a relationship between force and acceleration.
Ex. When a baseball player hits the ball, it will go forward. Same with a softball. But which one will go farther if Joey Votto hit them both? A baseball! The softball has more mass and so the baseball will win.
