• the Parthenon was converted into Athens main mosque
• in 1640, a lighting bolt hit the Propylaea causing its destuction

• Pythagoras came up with the value of pie
• he also found the answer to a right triangle. A2+B2=C2
• Archimedes discovered the physical law of displacement
• the law of displacement is when an object moves at the volume of water as the object that is placed in it

Alexander the Great

at the age of 20, he started an army in the greek city states. he returned to babylon and planned an invasion of southern arabia. he invaded the Asia Minor. he often rode ahead in to battle with his men far behind and risked his own life. he crossed the Indus River into india. the key to his courage may have been from hi child hood education.

engineering skills

The greeks built the water Mill and that influenced us how the water is cleaned in rivers. And they made roads, we were influenced to have something to drive our cars on.

democracy

delian league

The delian league, founded in 478 B.C, was an association with the greek city-states. Members numbering from 150-173, under the leadership of Athens, who propose to continue fighting the Persian Empire after the greek victory in the Battle of Plateau at the end of the second persian invasion of Greece. The similarities between NATO is that they were made up of different types of people. NATO was mad up of different countries and the Delian League was made up of different of greek city-states. The two groups would help a part of the alliance that is at war.
