• Jefferson believed that the federal government should not get all the power

• Hamilton thought there should be a national bank
• Jefferson disagreed because he believed it was unconstitutional and gave to much power to the central government

FRANCE VS BRITIAN

• Hamilton wanted to support Britain to keep a good relationship with them
• Jefferson wanted to support France cause they helped us in our war against Britain
• President Washington was neutral in this decision
