Plato's philosophical ideology had many social implications, especially on the idea of ideal state or government. Plato declares societies have a tripartite class structure matching the structure of the individual soul. The structure of the individual soul stands for different parts of the body.

The people stuck in the cave.

IMAGES

False matter being projected from a false source.

BLIND

The blindness of the people.

CHAINED

People chained in cave.

SHADOW

The shadows casted from the chained.

ART

Art imitates.

Plato has an objection towards art because art is an imitation. Art is copied from someplace or somewhere. Ex: You can think of some sort of cool creature in your mind and draw it on a piece of paper. Plato objects because you copied the image from your mind. A copy of a copy of a copy of a copy (etc) brings us AWAY from the truth, or the true form of art

FIRE

The source of the shadow casting.

THE REPUBLIC

People of the republic. The story. Everyone knows there place. Born with a set job.

FORM.

Believes in diffrent forms.

TRUTH

Strives to seek out the truth. Everything has a true form.
