WHAT IS STEREOTYPING?

• Someone who Lacks originality or individuality
• For example
• Some guys think all women do house work and watch the kids all day.
• While they go to work and make all the money
• Wich isnt true because women do go to work and work just as hard as men do

TV SHOWS

• Such as qvc a show i know
• Most of the time its the women working in the kitchen supplies
• And guys are with the tools and stuff like that.
• And i disagree with that i mean women can do tools and hard work too.
• And guys can do kitchen stuff like that too not just women

MOVIES

• In lots of old movies i have seen there have been moments
• Where the husband will go off to war and will have to leave there
• Wife at home to watch the kids or the house and stuff like that
• I disagree with these because you never really see just men going off to war
• I have seen plenty of women go off to war along as the same for men

CARTOONS

• In a episode of spongebob ive seen were spongebob
• Enterd a club called the salty spitoon and there was all really tough
• Muscular guys but no women at all like it was all guys and not one single girl
• I disagree with this because there are women out there who work out and are tough
• And lots of women can fight as the same as men can

BREAKING STEREOTYPES

• In a commercial i saw this week it showed a women as a construction worker
• And a man too they had broken a stereotype by having a women as a construction worker
• Because people think guys do the hard work but thats not true this showed that
• Women do do hard work just like guys do

• But the boys at her school say she cant play basketball because shes a girl
• But that doesnt stop her from doing it anyways trying to prove to her father and the boys at her school that she as as a girl
• Can to play basketball regardless Of her gender.

• Another example for breaking a stereotype was i was on youtube on day and it showed some teens
• At a skate park and i noticed that one of those teens was a girl and she was skateboarding with
• The boys and i like that because you would think most guys think that girls dont skateboard and stuff like that
• But thats not true at all she proved That she could do a sport that a lot of guys like to do to

• A very known one is way back then there uses to be a rule where african american people would
• Be seperated from white skin toned people like they the african americans would have separate resteraunts
• Separate bathrooms ect, but how they broke it was there used to be huge protests about it and untill one day
• Martin luther king jr. Made a speech and broke that separation of blacks and whites forever.
