The world is about to end and it's Max's duty to stop it. A disease breaks out and starts killing regular humans. The flock retreates to an island with lits of other "bird" kids.
Dylan sends all the bird kids underground because he knows what will happen. Then the sky "opens" and a wall of fire rages through the sky. A giant meteor lands in the ocean and causes a massive tsunami to cover the island. It ends with Max, Fang, Angel, and Dylan safe on a cliff in the new world of mutants and, Max decides to love Fang.
