PRESENTATION OUTLINE
King Darius I of Persia wanted to conquer Athens.
The Athenian and Persian armies met in Marathon.
The Persian army outnumbered the Athenians 2 to 1.
However, the Athenians surprised the Persians by lining up and charging at them. The Persians scattered and 6400 were slaughtered. The Athenians won!
