EARLY LIFE

  • St. Anthony was born on August 15th 1195
  • He was born into a wealthy family.
  • He began his studies early at about age 15.
  • His birth name was Francisco Thuarmagist

ADULT LIFE

  • He stayed for 2 years in St. Vincent
  • He joined the Franciscan Order
  • He was a teacher for a short time but was mistreated by Students
  • He taught at a friary at school.

LATER LIFE

  • He witnessed the be heading of two Franciscan Martyrs.
  • During his time he spent in Italy he led himself into La Provence and continued to Preach.
  • He also became a Public Preacher.
  • The beheading inspired him to go out and preach the word.

DEATH

  • St. Anthony of Padua lived a short life.
  • He died at the age of 35.
  • St. Anthony became sick with Ertogism
  • He died on the way back to Padua on June 13th 1231
  • He died of a disease called Ergotism.

Extra Info

  • He was canonized on May 3, 1232
  • His feast day is on June 13
  • He is the Patron Saint of Lost things
  • He was proclaimed as doctor of the Church on January 16th 1936

he was made a Doctor of the Church by Pope Pius XII in 1946.

HE ALSO WAS ONE OF THE FASTEST CONONIZED SAINTS.
