STUDENTS WILL INFER SUBJECT MATTER OF THE BOOK SEED FOLKS.
Students will look at the cover and read the back cover seedfolks to guess what the book might be about. We will draw expectations and hopes for new reading.
Students will create a list of the inferences that they have made about Seedfolks. They will share with the class what they think the novel will be about after the reading and examining of the chapter and covers.
After reading we will reevaluate our own expectations and the importance of community gardens. We will look at our expectations for the reading and tomorrow's lesson.
