PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Newton's Second Law of motion

by Nolan

The greater mass an object has, the more force it takes to make the object move.

For example, a wagon with a pillow in it will not take much force to move.

But a wagon with, say, 12 bricks will take a larger amount of force to move.

The more force that is given to an object, the more acceleration.

For example, when a baseball batter hits the ball with little force, the ball does not have much acceleration.

But if the batter hits the baseball with great force, the ball will have lots of acceleration.

Weight is how much force gravity is using to pull down on an object.
