Purpose of the experiment

• to find which fish are the closest related through genes and genetics
• to determine this we studied their muscle proteins
• recognize similarities and differences in fish muscle protein sizes

Five different fish were analyzed

• Rock Fish-A
• Haddock-B
• Salmon-C
• Tuna-D
• Catfish-E

Relatedness between the fish

• What do they have in common?
• environment
• behaviors
• appearance

initial prediction

• We predicted the saltwater fish have the most in common with eachother
• Salmon spend their lives in both salt and fresh water
• Since they can live in both waters they should have the most in common
