HOUSE OF MEDICI


The Medici family ruled the city of Florence, Italy throughout the renaissance. Most of them were merchants and bankers. Most of their power from the Medici bank. The family supported arts, architecture, and science they also supported the scientist Galileo galilei
They even have credit for the invention of the piano

WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

William Shakespeare was a play writer, actor and poet. He wrote the famous play "Romeo and Juliet." Born in the city of Stratford England , little is known about his childhood. He married Anne Hathaway and had 3 kids. After he married there we no records of him for a few years, they called these "The lost years." He also became famous with his poetry. His most famous poem was "Venus and Adonis." Later he returned to his home in Stratford and died on his fifty-second birthday.

JOHANNES GUTENBERG

Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press, it may not seem important but it was a big deal, often referred to as the most important invention of all times. Johannes grew up in Mainz, Germany in the year 1398. The first thing printed by him was the Bible, to spread the word of god.

MICHELANGELO

Michelangelo was born in Caprese, Italy on March, 6th, 1475. His mother passed away when he was only six. As a child all he wanted to do was paint and grow up to be an artist. In 1508 the pope wanted Michelangelo to paint the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. It took him four years, but it turned out to be one of the most famous paintings of all time.
