• Clear and concise state the technical designation
• Must exclude all fancy names

Don'ts

• Trade name
• abbreviation

2.Technical field

• The invention should be placed in its setting by specifying the technical field to which it relates

3.Background Art

• Mention any background art of which applicant is aware
• Must be factual

Irrelevant matter

• Well known, obtainable from text book
• Detailed description of the prior art

Technical problem and its solution

• Must disclose the technical proble
• Provide understandable solution

4. Summary of the invention

• Explain the solution by the invention on the proble mentioned in “the background art”. State the advantages effects of the invention compared to the prior art.

5.Detailed Description

• Sufficiency of disclosure, clear to PSA how to put into practice
• Reference sign

Insufficient disclosure

• Cannot be carried out by PSA
• Successful performance is Impossible (contrary to well establised physical law

Terminology

• Must describe the little-known terms

6.Claims

• Shall contain the "technical features of the invention"
• Any statement for example for commercial advantage is not allowed

Clarity of the claims

• Must be clear to PSA
• Defining the matter for which protection is sought
• Must contains all the essential features
• Avoid relative terms eg:"thin", "strong", "wide"

7.Drawing

• Suitable for printing
• Colour photographs are not allowed

Abstract

• Summery of the invention
• Indicates the technical field of the inventio
• Explain the problem of the prior art
• Describe the solution through the invention
