The pollution caused U.S. Energy use is around 931,349,000 metric tons.

We consume so much energy because we started to use fossil fuels and non renewable resources.

The history of energy consumption in the United States started to go up for a while from 1970 to 1980 then went down between 2000 to 2010.

You can find out how much energy you use by looking at your carbon footprint and you can reduce it by turning off the lights when you leave take shorter showers easy stuff like that.

Our energy use hasn't been reduced in the past because energy efficient houses and buildings are very expensive.
