Myth or Fact?
-It takes approximately a half hour for alcohol to travel to the brain and produce its effects.

MYTH! HERE ARE THE FACTS
-Within minutes of drinking alcohol, it travels from the stomach to the brain, where it quickly produces its effects, slowing the action of the nerve cells.

-There are over 10,000 impaired fatalities annually (NHTSA).

FACT
-The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that an average of 10,322 people die from either drunk or drugged driving annually. A death from impaired driving happens every 51 minutes.
