PRESENTATION OUTLINE

You start off with an equilateral triangle

An altitude then is added to the triangle, bisecting the angle at the top of the triangle and creating right angles at the base, thus creating two 30-60-90 triagnles

This represents the two triangles you've just created.

To find the side lengths of one triangle you set it up as shown

when given a number for one of the sides, you plug in the variable you have.

Once you plug it in you simply execute the equation! (Be sure to simplify!!)
