  • He allowed men to participate in the Athens assembly's and law courts
  • Solon had become very popular among the common people

  • A tyrant who seized power in 560 .b.c
  • He had support from the poor by dividing estates between the farmers
  • He had also given money,jobs,and other things to the poor
