Exposure to a new environment, meeting diverse people and a more flexible schedule are just some of the novel experiences afforded by university life.

Especially when you're studying in colleges or universities in Metro Manila.

College is a hodgepodge of people from different places.

System of education in Manila is deemed to have much greater quality than those in provinces;
more rigorous, more competent, and more efficient.

That's why some students from provinces risk staying in urban and live away from their families just to access the much
"greater academics".

Apart from facing more difficult subjects, students also have to adapt to their professors’ varying teaching styles.

No one is spared from academic strain. One way or another, we would still find ourselves struggling to pass a subject.

That's why students tend to "break free" and have an escapade.

“College life is exciting! This is the time you will experience the word “freedom”..."
—Ruth Claire Paat, 19, San Beda Manila

In metropolitan, you'd have to have great strength to withstand struggles in riding public transportation vehicles and busting busy streets just to get to school and home.

Manila offers a wide array of public transportation to help us go to wherever we ought to go. And they play a vital role in college.

By freedom, curiosity and adventure always dwell among students:
Going to places they've never been, and trying out new activities.

When we travel, we learn something new, as every place shows us a different kind of reality. And in college, we are always welcome to explore beyond four corners of our classroom; and it's an important extension to learning.

Of course, part of the lifestyle, and learning, is indulging on foods.
And in Manila, street foods are always the highlight.

Street foods are considered to be staple around University Belt.
And Hepa Lane is one famous place for the hungry souls.

Aside from food, we try out new activities that are mostly not related to school. And college students like that part...

Some of them are worth sharing to our parents or families, like trying out a new sport...

But some are better left unsaid to certain people.

College may be, as told by many, difficult to handle, but with perseverance and right amount of fun, you'll survive.

It may be hard to manage college especially when it sits at the heart of urban oasis.

However, at the end of the day, it's about knowing your priorities right and spearheading your ultimate life goals without missing the fun of your youth.
