What are Microaggressions?

A microaggression is a brief and commonplace daily verbal, behavioral, or environmental indignity, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicates a hostile, derogatory, or negative slight or insult toward people of non-dominant identities.

Offensive words or behavior that are intentional or unintentional aimed at a person of person from a non dominant identity

In the U.S.

Example:
a. You are pretty for a black girl
b. Where are you really from?
d. You are pretty good at that for a woman
e. Purse Example.
d. Being followed in a store

In China

1. Are you really from America?
2. You are not really black?
3. Slang and talking about hip hop and rap music. Lounge example.

i was treated very well. I was accepted by my community. Even adopted into a martial arts family.
