HOW TO MAKE A PINCH POT

STEP ONE

• Get a canvas

STEP TWO

• Get a fettling knife
• Wooden knife
• Metal rib
• Cup of water

STEP THREE

• Get some fresh clay

STEP FOUR

• Wedge your clay (im using monkey face)
• Roll the clay up and push it down to wedge
• Do it at least 50 times

STEP FIVE

• Make a ball

STEP SIX

• Jam your thumb into the clay
• Push the clay outward with your thumb

STEP SEVEN

• Smooth it out with the rib or wooden knife
• You can make the top even by tapping it on the canvas

STEP EIGHT

• Smooth out any cracks with water

STEP NINE

• Cut a strip out of some clay and make a coil
• Score the coil and the bottom of the pot(make little cuts)
• Wet the clay and score some more

STEP TEN

• Put the coil on the pot
• Use the wooden knife to connect the two pieces

STEP 11

• Use the wooden knife to make a lip

STEP 12

• There is no step 12
