PRESENTATION OUTLINE
1st candle:
The first Candle is lit on the first Sunday of Advent, shortly after November 30. It is called the Prophecy Candle and reminds us that Jesus' coming was prophesied hundreds of years before He was born. The candle's purple color represents Christ's royalty as the King of Kings.
2nd candle:
Th second candle represents peace, tranquility & the preparation for god to appear. It is known as the Bethlehem candle. It's colour is purple to remind everyone that the king was the one that was born in a manger
3rd candle:
The third candle is the shepherd's candle. The colour of this candle is pink to represent god's love and faithfulness in humanity and life. This candle is there to remind us all that god sent angels to tell everyone about his arrival to earth to visit people
4th candle:
The last and tallest candle is also purple and is the angel's candle. This candle reminds us of the heavenly hosts that predicted Jesus' arrival.
It reminds us that the angels predicted gods birth and told everyone about it. For some people this is the last candle but for others there is one more.
5th candle:
The fifth candle aka the Christmas candle is the only white candle in the wreath and is not a candle for everyone, some people only use the first four. This last candle symbolises the birth of Christ in the manger in the stable. As the prophets promised so long ago, you have come to us once again; and with the shepherds, we are filled with wonder and amazement.
This is the last and final candle in the christmas wreath with no exceptions
