PRESENTATION OUTLINE
Long ago in the dinky town of Georgetown, South Carolina lived a couple very in love. They were engaged and soon to be married.
The big day finally came, but was suddenly cancelled because he had been called to serve in the war. They said their goodbyes and he was off.
After few letters came, they suddenly stopped. No one had seen or heard from the soldier in almost three years.
Everyday the women weeped and cried for her fiancé. One day the women and the soldiers' best friend met and talked and cried and talked and cried some more. As days, weeks and months went by, the two were falling deeper in love everyday.
The two finally decided the soldier had died and he would think the best, if they got married. The wedding was planned and the special day was getting closer and closer.
The wedding day finally came and the two said their "I Do's." Everyone was happy and congratulating the new bride on her marriage.
Out of nowhere, they heard hoofs clicking on the rocks. The new bride turned around to see her long lost soldier standing there in his confederate uniform, without knowing what happened. As she spoke "I waited three years and you never wrote or returned."
The new bride realized what a mess she had made and turned and ran to the river, jumping in and drowning herself. The two men, following behind, jumped in and drowned themselves also.
It is know that if you are driving down the road leading to where the three killed themselves, you are to see the ghosts walking hand in hand.
