  • Strikes eroupted in a # of cities.
  • May 3, police broke up a fight between
  • strikers and scabs.

  • Scabs- a negative term for a worker called
  • in by an employer to replace striking laborers.
  • A scab allows company's to continue working,
  • avoiding the union.
  • Police actions caused many casualtys on workers.

  • May, 4th leaders called for a protest.
  • A group of anarchasts joined the strike.
  • Anarchasts- racials who appose all
  • government.

WHAT HAPPENED AND WHY?

  • Someone threw a bomb into a police formation.
  • They never caught the guy.
  • The riot started after the bomb went off.

GOVERNMENTS ROLE

  • The government took the side of
  • the owners.
  • EFFECTS OF THE STRIKE
  • The progestors and anarchasts lost.

Thesis-
Buisness owners can get carried away with the power they have. They leave workers with only one way to solve the problem, strike.
