History
Jack the Ripper is the famous name given to the infamous
unidentified killer. The killings began in the impoverished
areas in Whitechapel district of London in 1882. The myth
of this mysterious killer grew and put fear into millions all
over the world.

Background
Around 1882 Britain experienced a rush of Irish Immigrants
which caused the city to become overpopulated. Work and housing
conditions worsened. The economy suffered dramatically. Robbery,
Violence, alcohol dependency and poverty caused many women to turn
to prostitution.

Victims
The famous five victims were Mary Ann Nichols August 31,1888
AnnieChapman September 8, 1888, Elizabeth Stride September 30, 1888
Catherine Eddowes September 30 1888, and Mary Jane kelly November
8, 1888. There were hundreds of murders happening around the same time and.
many were believed to be copycats.

Method of Killing
Jack the Ripper tortured those five women
He cut their throats on both sides then ripped open the
abdomen and and cut all the way to the top of the stomach
Usually leaving their insides all over the walkway. The weapon
of choice was a six inch knife. (never specified)

Mystery solved?
Around the 125th anniversary of Jack the Ripper. A British
detective named Trevor Marriott. He discovered that Jack the Ripper
never really existed. He was conjured up by a drunken journalist named
Thomas Bulling. Detective Trevor Marriott spent 11 years carrying
the case in order to solve the case.

Detective Marriott discovered 17 unsolved Ripper like crimes
committed around 1863-1894. He believes a man named Carl
Feignbaum committed the crimes. A german merchant who
traveled around the same places and times the killings took place
Carl Feignbaum was executed in New York in 1896 after being

Truth or Tale?
caught fleeing a Ripper like crime scene in Whitechapel
London in 1888. The journalist who made up the infamous
"Jack the Ripper" sent the police letters signed "jack the ripper"
around the time of the killings. He worked for the London Central
News Agency and was paid to write crime stories for the paper
