  • Lives for about 25 years
  • Breed late in life. They don't start breeding until they're at least 20 years

  • They eat seals so the population of seals don't expand
  • They are the apex predators of the ocean
  • Sharks have widespread global distribution

  • Shark teeth are not attached to gums on a root like ours
  • There teeth fossilizes well after they have died 😳😱
  • There tooth shape is dependent upon its diet

  • Powerful sense of smell
  • Great eye sight
  • Great hearing

  • The largest great white shark ever recorded was caught off Cojimar, Cuba
  • They are sensitive to low frequency sounds as produced by struggling pray
  • They don't have any eyelids instead there eyes roll to the back of their head
