THE BEGINNING

  • The Cold War was a result of rising tensions between the US and SU.
  • It was named the Cold War, because things never heated up.
  • There was absolutely no military action throughtout  the conflict.

CAPITALISM VS COMMUNISM

  • Capitalism has:
  • Free Market, Class Variation, and Wealth Differences.
  • Communism has:
  • Government Control, No Class Variation, and No Wealth Differences.

US FOREIGN POLICY

  • The SU responded to US foreign policy by:
  • Continuing with their plans.
  • Trying to spread communism faster.
  • Doing all they could to oppose the US' wishes.

KITCHEN DEBATE

  • The Kitchen Debate illustrated many things.
  • It was the embodiment of the entire war.
  • The entire ordeal was talk and no action.
  • The debate didn't spark anything.
  • Tensions would remain high, until the war itself dissapaited.
