Young boys went to boot camp at age 7
After about 14 years, they can become a spartan soldier.
While their wives stayed at home, men were out fighting
They had to be very brave and learn to sacrifice.
They were to continue this for a long time till age 60.

Girls were very fit by doing wrestling and javelin (etc.)
Women stayed at home doing house work
Spartan women were freer than any other Greek women
because they got to go where they were pleased and own property
To be a Spartan Women, you still had to be brave and independent.

The reason why is that they want to protect Greece
