THE HOST

• My host was Travis Denton
• He got this job by apprenticing other carpenters

QUALIFICATIONS

• You must apprentice someone who has experience in this field of work
• For certain jobs you must take short classes Ex. To go to Eli Lilly
• You must have common sense

DUTIES

• Carpenters work from 50-60 hours a week
• Carpenters build framing, instal drywall, insulate, and basically anything that involved wood

SALARY AND BENEFITS

• From 30-100 thousand
• Out of town jobs normally include money for hotel, gas, and food
• Advancements are superintendent and owner

PERSONAL SATISFACTION

• Likes: not in office,stay in shape, get to break things
• Dislikes: hard on body, working with unskilled idiots

WHAT I DID

• I tore down walls with a sledge hammer
• Measured 2x4's and 2x6's to cut for frames
• Shot nails in the frame to keep it in place
• Used a skill saw to cut boards
• Insulation

• You get to break and build walls and frames
