Expression:
There are two types of expressions; numerical expressions and algebraic expressions.
Numerical expressions:
Phrase that uses only numbers and operation symbols.
Ex: 3 x 16 + 2 *2
Algebraic expression:
Phrase that includes at least on variable
Ex: x24 r +10

Variable:
A letter or symbol that stands for one or more numbers.
Ex:a,s,d,f,g,h,j,k,l

Coefficient:
A number multiplied by a variable.
Ex: 4k+5
4=coefficient

Equation:
An algebraic or numerical sentence that shows that two quantities are equal.

Inverse operations:
Opposite operations, or operations that undo each other, such as addition and subtraction or multiplication and division.

Inequality:
A mathematical sentence that contains the symbol

Like terms:
Terms that have the same variables with the same exponents.

Expressions that are equal to each other for any values of their variables
Ex: x + 3 and 3 + x
