We felt at the meeting in October that as a staff we are most likely just at the prepare level of implementation on average. We definitely have a long way to go.

We need to gather data on what teachers are already doing and what they can improve on as far as UDL using the framework.

My Plan

  • Have all teachers email me what they have done with UDL.
  • Have teachers also email me what they plan on using UDL for in the future.
  • We can then share that information at PLCs or faculty meetings.
  • We can then collaborate and see how we can improve on already good ideas.

Alignment to District

and Campus Initiatives

Our campus motto is that "All Students Can and Will Succeed," and UDL can make it happen, because it gives them choices and allows them to take ownership.

Furthermore, our mission statement and HISD talk about global learners and graduates, which UDL promotes by giving students flexibility.

UDL aligns with TADS as well.
