PRESENTATION OUTLINE
LOCATION
- The Au Sable Rivers mouth is in Lake Huron and the river ends in Fredric.
- In the L.P. It stretches 138 mi going through towns such as Glennie, Oscoda, and quite a few more.
LUMBERMENS MONUMENT
- Lumbermen's Monument is a cool place to be. It honors the lumbermen who worked along side the Au Sable River. It was hard work! There are hundreds upon hundreds of trees in the Au Sable and lining it! If you want to visit Lumbermen's Monument its address is: 5401 Monument Rd, Charter Township, MI 48750
HYDROELECTRIC DAMS
- The Au Sable River has 6 hydroelectric dams Cooke Dam, Foote Dam, Alcona Dam, Mio Hydro, Five Channels Dam, and Loud Dam. Built from 1911 to 1924 the 6 hydros can bring power to 20,400 people

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
- The Au Sable River has quite a few tourist attractions here are a few :
- The 120 mile canoe race from Grayling to Oscoda this year starting on July 25. The race is a non-profit organization, it is just to increase the awareness of the natural resource: The Au Sable River. The canoe marathon lasts a couple of nights. In the race you paddle through all six dams, with no break!

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
- The Au Sable River Ferry Queen is truly an amazing site:
- The FerryQueen is the only operating Paddlewheel Ferryboat of its kind in the north.You can book a reservation for the Ferryboat at 989-728-6558. The trip is 2 hours long on the Au Sable River. The Ferry Boat is located in Oscoda Michigan, by the dam store and Cooke Hydro. The River Queen currently sets in the Cooke Resevoir.

TROUT STREAM
- The Au Sable River has many names but no doubt the most famous is the Brown Trout Stream The Au Sable River is home to Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Small Mouth Bass, Steelhead, and quite a few more!

- Hi my name is the Au Sable River and I am 138 miles long! I may not be the biggest River in Michigan but I sure am the most scenic! Next time your up north stop by and canoe for a couple hours and see all the amazing scenerie!
