The Enlightnement

  • A movement that stressed logic and reason that would lead to many
  • democratic ideas in Americas future.

Scientific revolution

  • The revolution in which people started to look more to math and science for
  • answers rather than church and religion.
  • It is also the movement where people began to believe that the sun was the 
  • center of the universe not earth

  • One of the four major enlightenment thinkers
  • Believed in absolute monarchy because people are greedy and selfish

  • One of the four major enlightenment thinkers
  • Came up with the idea of Separation of powers which splits the government
